How far a Soul goes on a full tank

EPA estimates are from the 2025 Kia Soul and Soul Eco dynamics listings on fueleconomy.gov, read November 3, 2026. The ranges are our arithmetic: the owner's manual fuel capacity times the EPA combined rating, rounded. At the 27 mpg city rating the same tank works out to about 385 miles, and at the 33 mpg highway rating to about 471 miles.

Soul fuel and fill-up tips from the manual

These points come from the Fuel requirements section of the 2025 Soul owner's manual, read November 3, 2026.

• Use unleaded fuel with a pump octane number ((R+M)/2) of 87 (Research Octane Number 91) or higher. Do not use methanol-blended fuels.
• Do not use gasohol containing more than 15% ethanol, and do not use gasoline or gasohol containing any methanol.
• Do not top off after the nozzle shuts off automatically. Forcing more fuel into the tank can cause fuel overflow and a risk of fire.
• Tighten the fuel cap until it clicks one time; otherwise the Check Engine light will appear.
• Do not add fuel system cleaning agents to the tank other than what has been specified.
